Cory Doctorow:

This giant inflatable waterslide from China Inflatables is in the shape
of a sinking Titanic with a looming iceberg, and sports several flumes
for your sliding pleasure.

“From China” makes it sound like this is some PRC commentary on the Titanic disaster. What makes you think it wasn’t designed here and manufactured in China, like every other toy manufactured in the past decade?
This was reported last year on Metafilter (http://www.metafilter.com/mefi/35962)

Why is it that in the smaller picture there is no titanic part of the slide.
I think someone photoshopped the ship in.

THAT’S HORRIBLE! You think the actual people on the RMS Titanic had FUN sliding down the deck? It’s appaling what some people will do for money. It’s horrible, and if I ever saw this a a birthday party, I wouldn’t let MY kid go! Disgusting.
